Courtney Elizabeth Blackmun is a singer-dancer from Franklin, Tennessee. She began dancing at the age of three with Ann Carroll School of Dance. There, she studied ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop until the age of 18. She served as the dance captain on her high school dance team for three years. Upon graduating, she became an instructor for Universal Dance Association. She then was offered a job with Molyneux Entertainment as a production dancer for Celebrity Cruises, just a month after graduation. After her first contract, she obtained a certificate in Commercial Entertainment from Columbia State Community College-graduating with a 4.0 gpa. She immediately joined the Stiletto Entertainment family working with Holland America Line where she served as the dance captain numerous contracts and trained in Spanish Web with a prestigious Vegas aerialist. Courtney has also performed for such companies as Walt Disney World, Hersheypark, done a number of commercials, music videos, movies, and musicals. Among her favorite are Memphis (National Tour-swing; Arkansas Rep-Bessie), Hair (Dionne, Seacoast Rep-New Hampshire), Les Miserables and All Shook Up (Dance Captain-Cortland Rep-NY), Bye Bye Birdie (Margie, AEA Showcase-NYC), Legally Blonde (Pilar-Midtown Arts Center-Colorado), 9 to 5 and Sophisticated Ladies (Broward Stage Door Theatre-FL), Seussical the Musical (Mayzie LaBird-Tennessee), and Lucky Stiff (Dominique du Monaco-Tennessee). She has also performed in several shows as a magician's assistant as well as industrials for major companies such as The American Heart Association and Home Interior Designs. Though Courtney is normally on the stage, she has also taught many young children ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop. She is very eager to try new things and with this comes a love of auditioning. She looks forward to continuing her career in years to come! Courtney would like to thank Cathy Hudnall, Laura Carroll, and the rest of the Columbia State Community for all that she's learned. Without the knowledge of the talented staff of the Commercial Entertainment Program, she would have never learned the many important aspects that are necessary in the success of an entertainer. Love and many thanks to her loving family for their continued support!
